Production Methods of Sorbitan Monopalmitate
Add 1mol of sorbitol into the reaction vessel, vacuum and dehydrate at 75-80 ℃ until small bubbles are formed inside the vessel. Melt 1mol of palmitic acid and press it into dehydrated sorbitol anhydride. Add 1kg of 50% alkaline solution while stirring. Gradually raise the temperature to 190-200 ℃ under reduced pressure, and keep it at 190-200 ℃ for 4 hours. Sample and analyze the acid value. The esterification reaction is completed when the acid value is around 7-8. Let it stand and cool overnight, remove the bottom coking material, add an appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide for decolorization under stirring, and finally heat up to 80-90 ℃. Stir and shape while hot, and cool the packaging to obtain the finished product.
