(Meltblown Grade Chromium Oxide Granules Cr2O3 for Refractory Chrome Oxide)
Overview of Chromium oxide
Chromium oxide is a not natural material with the chemical formula Cr2O3. It is a light environment-friendly to dark green little hexagonal crystal. Turns brown when warm and stays eco-friendly when cold. The crystals are inflexible and steady, and there is no change even when hydrogen is introduced under red heat. Soluble in warmed potassium bromate solution, a little soluble in acids and bases, and almost insoluble in water, ethanol and acetone. Additionally boosting.
Fused chrome sand has high strength, high hardness and low porosity, which can significantly improve the acid, alkali and slag corrosion resistance of refractory materials.
Features of Chromium oxide
Widely used in non-ferrous metallurgy, building materials, petrochemicals, large power generation boilers, waste incinerators and other fields.
It can also be used as a melt-blown coating, which can be directly sprayed onto the surfaces of metals, ceramics, etc., with the help of high-temperature plasma gas, giving the latter extremely high wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance.
It can also be mixed with chrome oxide green and aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide, etc., according to needs, to obtain refractory materials with excellent performance.

Application of Chromium oxide
Spreadly used in non-ferrous metallurgy, building materials, petrochemicals, large power generation boilers, waste incinerators and other fields.
It can also be used as a melt-blown coating, which can be directly sprayed onto the surfaces of metals, ceramics, etc., with the help of high-temperature plasma gas, giving the latter extremely good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance.
It can also be mixed with chrome oxide green and aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide, etc., according to needs, to obtain refractory materials with excellent performance.
Production Method of Chromium oxide
Thermal Decomposition Method: Chromium nitrate or chromium hydroxide is heated for decomposition. For example, chromium nitrate decomposes at high temperatures to form chromium oxide, nitrogen oxides and water.
Aluminothermic Reduction Method: Use aluminum powder to reduce chromium trioxide. The reaction is highly exothermic and can obtain chromium oxide and aluminum oxide.
Chemical Precipitation Method: In an aqueous solution, a chromium salt reacts with a precipitant such as ammonia water to form chromium hydroxide precipitate, which is then calcined to obtain chromium oxide.

Company Profile
RBOSCHCO is a trusted global chemical material supplier & manufacturer with over 12-year-experience in providing super high-quality chemicals and nanomaterials, including boride powder, nitride powder, graphite powder, sulfide powder, 3D printing powder, etc.
The company has a professional technical department and Quality Supervision Department, a well-equipped laboratory, and equipped with advanced testing equipment and after-sales customer service center. If you are looking for high-quality Chromium oxide, please feel free to contact us or click on the needed products to send an inquiry.

Storage Condition of Chromium oxide
Chromium oxide should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. The temperature should stay between 15°C and 35°C. It better be kept in sealed containers to prevent moisture absorption and contact with air, which could cause oxidation or other chemical changes. Also, store it away from reactive substances like strong acids and bases to avoid potential chemical reactions.
Packing&Shipment of Chromium oxide
We have many different kinds of packing which depend on the Chromium oxide quantity.
Chromium oxide packing: vacuum packing, 100g, 500g or 1kg/bag, 25kg/barrel, or as your request.
Chromium oxide shipping: could be shipped out by sea, by air, by express as soon as possible once payment receipt.

Payment Methods of Chromium oxide
L/C, T/T, Western Union, Paypal, Credit Card etc.
5 FAQs of Chromium oxide
Q1
Is chromium oxide harmful to human body?
Answer: Chromium oxide itself is somewhat toxic to the human body, especially when large amounts of dust are inhaled. Prolonged exposure to or inhalation of chromium oxide dust may cause skin irritation, respiratory disease and other health problems. Therefore, when handling chromium oxide, you should wear appropriate protective equipment and ensure that the operating environment is well ventilated.
Q2
What is the difference between chromium oxide and chromium oxide green?
Answer: Chromium oxide green is actually a form of chromium oxide, but the two have slightly different chemical compositions and uses. Chromium oxide green usually refers to a specific color variant of chromium trioxide, primarily used in the pigments and coatings industry. Chromium oxide refers more broadly to chromium oxides and is used in many industrial fields.
Q3
What are the applications of chromium oxide in the field of catalysts?
Answer: Chromium oxide is widely used in the field of catalysts. It can be used as a carrier or active component of a catalyst to promote a variety of chemical reactions. For example, in the petrochemical industry, chromium oxide catalysts can be used for catalytic cracking, reforming and other reactions to improve the output and quality of petroleum products.
Q4
What is the role of chromium oxide in the electroplating industry?
Answer: In the electroplating industry, chromium oxide can be used as an additive in electroplating solutions to improve the performance and appearance of the electroplated layer. It can improve the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the electroplated layer, giving electroplated products better performance and appearance quality.
Q5
What are the environmental performance of chromium oxide?
Answer: The environmental performance of chromium oxide depends on how it is used and handled. Under normal conditions of use, chromium oxide has relatively little impact on the environment. However, during production and processing, dust emissions and wastewater treatment need to be strictly controlled to prevent negative impacts on the environment and human body. In addition, discarded chromium oxide should be properly disposed of to avoid environmental pollution.
