Production Method of Tantalum/steel clad plate

To produce a titled clad steel with substantial joint strength at a good yield, Cr, Mo, V, Ni, and Cu are interposed as single or plural layers between a titanium material and a steel material and started rolling in a specific temperature range after seal welding.
CONSTITUTION: Two sheets of laminates, each formed by interposing an insert material 3 consisting of single or plural layers of Cr, Mo, V, Ni, and Cu between a steel plate 1 and a Ti or Ti alloy plate 2 are made into a set by interposing a release material 4. The steel plates 1, 1, and the spacer 5 are subjected to seal welding 6 to avoid the supply of oxygen to the joint surfaces. The laminates are then rolled at a rolling start temp. Of =500 deg.C and =1,000 deg.C to form a clad steel. Both ends are cut by cutting line 8 after hot rolling. Cut parts 9 are separated at the release material 4 part, by which two sheets of titanium (alloy) clad steels are obtd.
